Web Geek Christmas Gift Ideas for 2011

I was doing some online Christmas shopping today and ended up discovering some gifts bursting with geeky goodness. So, in my duty to the public interest (and also to give my husband a big hint), I thought I’d share them with you to give you some inspiraton when shopping for fellow web geeky family and friends.

  1. I’ve put an EyeFi Wireless Memory Card from Photojojo at the top of my wish list. It’s an SD card with wi-fi that you put in your camera so you can upload your photos wirelessly AND it has geolocation so it can geotag all your photos too. I won’t need to upgrade my camera for a while with this!

  2. Buy the Eye-Fi at the Photojojo Store!

  3. I’ve also put this Keyboard Shortcut Skin on my list. It has all the Photoshop keyboard shortcuts printed on the keys so you become a Photoshop wizard in no time.

  4. Buy the Keyboard Shortcut Skins for Macs at the Photojojo Store!

  5. This iRetrophone I found in the Freeland Studios Etsy store would look very stylish on a bedside table.

  • I already have a Kindle, but if I didn’t, I’d be asking for the new Kindle Fire. It costs a lot less than an iPad and you don’t need to worry about storage because all your Amazon content is stored free in the Cloud.
  • Amazon Kindle Fire

  • This book ‘Goodnight iPad’ by ‘Anne Droyd’ would make a fun gift. It’s a send up of ‘Goodnight Moon’ by Margaret Wise Brown. Watch this video to have it read to you:
  • This Typography Illustration would make a nice gift to a web geek family member/friend and all proceeds go to the Child’s Play Charity.
  • Typography Illustration: I'm a bit of Geek with a hint of Nerd

  • No matter how digitally oriented I am, I’ll always appreciate a good notebook. This White Lines Hard Bound Book is great for list makers and sketchers who like feint guidelines that don’t dominate the page.
